Raymond D. Metz Sr.

Raymond D. Metz, 69, of 326 N. 12th Street, died this morning after a long illness.

Born in Harmony, October 7, 1887, a son of the late Benjamin and Mary Baker Metz, Mr. Metz had resided in Easton for the last 30 years. He was employed as a cement burner by Hercules Cement Co., Stockertown, for 28 years until his retirement in 1953.

Mr. Metz was of the Methodist faith.

Surviving are his widow, the former Martha Jane Steckert; four sons, William R., of Easton; Patrolman Robert H. Metz; of the Easton Police force; Oscar E., Seattle, Wash., and Raymond D. Jr., Allentown; four daughters, Mrs. Clark Roth, Easton; Mrs. Grant Bracken, Phillipsburg; Mrs. Lamont Tigar, Milford, N.J., and Mrs. Walter Ellis, Riegelsville, PA.; a sister Miss Orpha Metz, Nazareth; a brother, Carl Metz, Easton, and 18 grandchildren.

Funeral arrangements are being made by the Heck Memorial Home Easton.
