Edna (Pendergast) Metz

Edna Metz, 75, of the Leader Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Palmer Township, formerly of Green Pond Road, Palmer Township, died Friday in Easton Hospital. She was the wife of the late William R. Metz.

She was a medical secretary for Dr. Frank Favazza, Easton, until retiring in 1986. Previously, she was a secretary at the Easton Area High School for 10 years.

She and her late husband owned and operated Bill's Corner Store at 12th and Bushkill streets, Easton, until the early 1960s.

Born in Easton, she was a daughter of the late Thomas and Hazel (Becker) Pendergast.

She was a member of Olivet Presbyterian Church, Easton.

Survivors: Son, William R. of Florence, Ky.; daughter, Patricia, wife of Hugh McLennan of Malvern, Chester County, and four grandchildren.
