Clarence Schneebeli

Clarence R. Schneebeli, 89, of 3107 Oregon St., Palmer Township, died Sunday, April 27, in Easton Hospital. He was the husband of Ellen I. (Stacy) Schneebeli. They were married 69 years in September.

He was an auto mechanic, specializing in front end alignment at Kocher's Garage, Palmer Township, for 10 years before retiring in 1982. Before that he was employed by the Butler Street Garage, Wilson, for more than 50 years.

Born in Sellersville, he was a daughter of the late Charles and Mabel (Stevenbach) Schneebeli.

He played trumpet in the Brown and Lynch American Legion Band, Easton; the Interstate Tri-City Band and the Wind Gap Band.

Survivors: Wife; daughter, Pauline Sickels of Palmer Township; sons, Richard E. of Nazareth and Robert C. of Saylorsburg; sisters, Kathryn Marx of Easton, Viola Heller of Forks Township and Dorothy Mendall of Nazareth; 12 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
