Charles Schneebeli

Charles Schneebeli, 66, of Blue Valley Lane, Washington Township, Northampton County, died Tuesday in Easton Hospital. He was the husband of Eleanor (Calviero) DeMatteo Schneebeli and the late Ann (Russo) Schneebeli. He and his second wife were married 11 years in July.

Schneebeli was a superintendent of the machine shop and assembly floor at Bethlehem Corp., Palmerton, before retiring last December with 40 years' service.

Born in Wilson, he was a son of late Charles and Mabel H. (Stevenback) Schneebeli.

He was a member and deacon of the Presbyterian Parish of Bangor and Roseto, Bangor.

He was a Navy veteran of World War II and a bugler first class.

Survivors: Wife; daughters, Lynn Marroni of Palmer Township and Sharon Kels Clowers of Whitehall Township; brother Clarence of Palmer Township; sisters, Dorothy Mendall of Wilson, Emma Fulmer of Palmer Township, Catherine Mains of Easton and Viola Heller of Forks Township; stepdaughter, Cathy Meyers of Allentown; stepson, Peter DeMatteo of Anchorage, Alaska, and five grandchildren.
