Carl E Kocher

Carl E. Kocher, 69, of Palmer Township, died Saturday, Sept. 21, while camping in Ronks, Lancaster County. He was the husband of Josephine (Kreitz) Kocher. They were married 48 years in August.

He owned and operated Kocher's Garage, Palmer Township, for 38 years before retiring in 1983.

Born in Palmer Township, he was a son of the late George A. Sr. and Marie (Brewer) Kocher.

He was a member of Palmer Moravian Community Church, Palmer Township. He was an Army veteran of World War II.

Kocher was a member of Brown and Lynch American Legion Post 9, Palmer Township; Palmer Township Fire Company and the Fearless Fire Company, Fountain Hill.

Survivors: Wife; son, Barry W. of Palmer Township; daughters, Patricia L. Tobing of Wilson, Deborah J. Koons of Spotswood, Va., and Roberta K. Spain of Palmer Township; brother, Russell C. of Palmer Township, and 12 grandchildren.
